When my daughter got a life-changing diagnosis at age 3, I had a sudden realization about how short life really is. I decided that I want my children to see me accomplish my goals - not just talk about them. I want them to know they can achieve whatever they want to in life - even when it is really hard! SO I began training for my first tri... now, the biggest compliment I can get is when my kids say "Mommy, I think you race really good."

Run done… And bike news

somewhere in the 9.5 mile range… some on the road and some on trail so the Garmin wasn’t really picking up so well. Many hills along the way - which was good.

We kept a pretty quick pace (for me) at about 9:00-9:30 min miles for all but the last.  It felt comfortable and I was talking pretty much the whole time.  Our team is going to do great!

Got HORRIBLE news about my bike yesterday. Basically, they said that the frame should not have bent the way it did, and that the derailleur hanger was supposed to bend and protect the frame… it didn’t do it’s job. However, they DO NOT see it being a manufacturing flaw.

WTF, Trek?????!!! Contradictory much??  I just bought this bike 4 months ago and I bought a brand new Trek because you are supposed to have great customer service!! AND hell, I was only going about 15 mph.

My BFF works for Trek, so she is going to make a call or 2 and figure out if there is anything else I can do. I AM PISSED!! And I am really hoping this has a better ending when all is said and done.  I don’t typically go down without a fight in these situations, so I am prepared to argue my point to whomever I need to.

Frustrated!

  2. cantstopcristin said: That’s horrible. I hope you get it worked out soon.

  4. lifewithkim said: Oh no! I hope your friend can find the right people at Trek who will take care of the problem.
